Terms & Conditions

After School Clubs, Classes & Private Lessons

By registering your child to participate in any of the services Boogie Pumps provides you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Fees. Fees are payable in full upon booking, if your child turns up to class having not been signed up and paid for, Boogie Pumps will then take appropriate action to ensure the child is registered & paid for via the correct system. Please note this is vital for safeguarding.
    • a. If your child continues to attend without having been registered via the correct system a £15 administrative fee will be charged to your booking.
    • b. Our third party payment processor takes payment for fees. Upon making a booking on our website you will be directed off the Boogie Pumps site and onto the third party’s payment portal where payment will be taken by credit or debit card via a secure connection. Boogie Pumps does not see any payment information. Boogie Pumps is not liable for any damage caused in relation to any third party’s act or omission.
    • c. Private lessons can be booked in writing. Those who book private lessons, whether for festivals, competitions, exam coaching or otherwise, must pay in advance for these classes when they are booked. All terms of engagement must be agreed on by all parties.
  2. Bookings. Class bookings are to be made solely via our website www.boogiepumps.co.uk
    • a. Any further queries or customer care related issues should be directed to Boogie Pumps via email.
    • b. The booking and your child’s place in the class will only be confirmed once payment has been made successfully and a receipt/confirmation email is received.
  3. Conduct
    • a. Boogie Pumps reserves the right to reject any booking at its sole discretion
    • b. Boogie Pumps has the right to ask pupils to leave without notice (at its sole discretion) at any point in the term for any serious breach of the terms and conditions or for any other serious misconduct.
    • c. Where possible please ensure that your child goes to the toilet before class, that you send them appropriately dressed, with a healthy snack and water bottle.
    • e. For after school clubs a member of the Boogie Pumps team will help with changing, snack time and toilet breaks.
    • f. Please label all belongings, Boogie Pumps does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to property left on the premises.
    • g. Boogie Pumps endeavour to ensure that your children are dancing in a safe and comfortable environment. We ask you to bring and collect your child promptly and provide us with written details of changes in drop off/pick up arrangements, special medical needs etc.
    • A late collection fee of £15 is payable directly to the class teacher for collection 10 minutes or more later than the class end time.
    • h. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you are formally giving permission for your child to be left with Boogie Pumps Staff without parental supervision.
    • i. Pupils will not be allowed to leave the dance areas until they are collected. Written permission is required should you wish your child to be allowed to leave unsupervised or with an alternative adult than is stated within your booking.
    • j. Please ensure that Boogie Pumps receives any changes to pupil’s contact details in writing, this is of the utmost importance in the case of an emergency.
  4. Refunds. Refunds will not be given in the event of the pupil not being able to attend their class after the booking is confirmed.
  5. Cancellations. In the event that the school or venue cancel a session we will do our best to organise an alternative session to attend. However, the decision has been made by a third party and is therefore out of our control.
    • a. If a class cancellation by the third party occurs after all dates for the term have been confirmed and payment has been made, a refund cannot be given.
    • COVID-19 – in the case of a local lockdown, independent venue/school closure or outbreak of Covid-19 in class; if classes are suspended for more than 4 consecutive weeks these sessions will be credited to next terms bookings.
  6. Medical Issues. While our Boogie Pumps staff hold basic first aid training, we are not medical professionals, if you have any doubt that your child is not fit and well enough to partake in our services then please consult your GP beforehand.
    • Any medical conditions must be stated upon booking and if your child is attending class feeling unwell this must be made apparent to the Boogie Pumps team at the start of the session.
    • If the Boogie Pumps staff feel that your child is not fit and well enough to partake in the session then parents will be contacted for immediate collection.
  7. Boogie Pumps Obligations. Boogie Pumps does not discriminate on background, race or religion. We regularly monitor staff to ensure school and teaching policies are upheld. We adhere to Health and Safety procedures to ensure that each child dances in a class appropriate to their level of development.
    • Please note that from time to time it is necessary for the teachers to use appropriate physical contact when helping to improve various elements of their pupils’ learning; this could be posture, positioning or assisting in movements. This may also include physical contact between students for example, holding hands.
  8. Photography. I understand and give consent to Boogie Pumps that on occasion they may use photographs or video recording of my child on the Boogie Pumps website and other platforms of social media for press and promotional development of the school. Should you not be happy for such images and footage to be taken of your child, please make us aware when you make your booking.
  9. Liability. No advice or information provided by us shall create any warranty or legal obligation and we make no warranty that our services shall meet your requirements or be fit for purpose.
    • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boogie Pumps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or special loss, data, goodwill, whether such damage could have been foreseen or whether we were advised of the possibility of such damage or loss. We will not be liable for such losses or damage in connection with our services whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise.
    • However in the event that you or your child suffers damage as a result of our failure to fulfil our obligations to you under these terms and conditions or as a result of our negligent act or omission, our liability to compensate you is limited to the lesser of (i) an amount equivalent to the Fees paid from you to us in the 12 months preceding the act or omission; or (ii) a reasonable sum having regard to whether the damage was caused by our negligent act or omission.
    • We will not be liable to you for:
      • any loss or damage caused by your or your child’s own fault;
      • any loss or damage caused by a third party unconnected with us;
      • i. any loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control (i.e acts of terrorism, riots, floods, freak weather, snow, fire etc)
    • Nothing in this section shall exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other liability not excludable by law
  10. Miscellaneous.
    • We may vary these terms from time to time and shall ask you to agree to such revisions upon notice or your next booking.
    • No rights shall be conferred on any third parties (other than Partners) and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply.
    • These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and any disputes shall be referred to the courts of England and Wales.

Camp

By registering your child to participate in any of the services Boogie Pumps provides you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

  1.     Fees. Fees are payable in full upon booking, if your child turns up to camp having not been signed up and paid for, Boogie Pumps may not allow the child to enter if we are fully booked. Please note this is vital for safeguarding.

o   a. Our third party payment processor takes payment for fees. Upon making a booking on our website you will be directed off the Boogie Pumps site and onto the third party’s payment portal where payment will be taken by credit or debit card via a secure connection. Boogie Pumps does not see any payment information. Boogie Pumps is not liable for any damage caused in relation to any third party’s act or omission.

o   b. Private lessons can be booked in writing. Those who book private lessons, whether for festivals, competitions, exam coaching or otherwise, must pay in advance for these classes when they are booked. All terms of engagement must be agreed on by all parties.

o   c. As Boogie Pumps are running on a limited capacity due to COVID 19 refunds or credit will not be given for any kind of cancelations, including sickness.

o   d. Boogie Pumps will give credit in full if Boogie Pumps chooses to cancel the camp due to COVID 19.
